A few weeks ago I took a little trip to New Orleans, the city that holds my heart, my spirit animal if you will! What an incredible weekend! What an incredible kick off to Bad Bitch Weekends. This, my friends, is the next wave of Aspen Botanicals, workshops and personal gathering, celebrating our power as women, gathering together to share, support and learn from one another. This has been the ultimate dream since taking ownership of my quaint, Mountain town Apothecary back in 2019, and now it is beginning to take shape.
In New Orleans I spent two evenings filling a glorious home with knowledge and spicy feminine energy. The women who joined this event were from all walks of life, experiencing different phases of their own cycles in life and womanhood.
We crafted self care - personal lubricant, which I have titled Queen Cream, and Breast Massage oil for lymphatic massage - we conversed about herbs for women’s health, menstrual cycles, menopause, vaginal Steaming and so much more!!
We ate nourishing, delicious food, we drank spirits, we opened up about our lives as women and by the end of the two evenings, we had to hug our way out the door, no one wanted to leave!
This experience solidified so much for me. It made the work in Fertility Awareness I am bringing to the world feel so alive and possible. It showed me that a decade's worth of herbal knowledge I have acquired and the energetic exchanges I thrive on with other women are indeed the work I need to be doing. Stepping fully into Bad Bitch Weekend gave me my own Bad Bitch Powers and it was noticed by so many others once I returned to Steamboat Springs. I was asked repeatedly about my "glow" and "extra sparkly energy," and this made me even more excited to share about the Bad Bitch experience.
The efforts that I put into my work are vast, I am constantly working to improve, empower and find new outlets for maximum growth that are suited for the next chapter of my development as a woman, creatrix, and business owner. My sweet little storefront in Steamboat Springs has been a wonderful guide for me over the past five years. I have honed and crafted a skill set that is energetically exploding out of the walls of the shop, and with that comes a beautiful point of transition.
The shop is staying - for now - but you may notice that I am not in for "typical" hours. I am adding more off-site classes and events - small group experiences with businesses and their team members, appearances at gatherings like Flow Fest happening July 27th and 28th, the Steamboat Springs Farmers Market on Saturdays, One on One consultation and support, workshops and retreats outside of Steamboat, and more! Retail is just a small taste of my offerings, wait until you see what begins to take shape as I forge ahead!
